Is it really January 2016? Every month we post our 10-on-1o we stare at the calendar in disbelief. We’re a little late on posting this month’s because of our lack of internet while traveling but we wanted to get it up either way. We love looking back at our 10-on-1o’s to see how much has changed. Since our first 10-on-1o back in July 2014 a LOT has changed.
- Our hairs are both longer
- Finnegan is a little more grey in the face, (sad face).
- Our fire making skills have improved tremendously.
- We’ve upgraded our little green tent to a 23 foot camper
We’ve loved this project so much since we’ve started and are so honored to be a part of such a talented group of photographers sharing small slices of their lives every month.
This month’s 10-on-10 comes from Marathon, Texas where we spend day 88 of our road trip. Marathon, Texas is two towns over from Marfa, Texas which was one of our favorite cities of our whole road trip. After leaving Marfa we decided we wanted to explore more of west Texas so we set our sights on Marathon, stopping in Alpine along the way to mail out some packages and grab a small bite to eat, (which by the way, The Smokin’ Cuban is worth the stop to Alpine alone).
Marathon was much smaller than Marfa and once we settled into our RV spot, we set to explore the town on foot and proceeded to stick with our rule of only clicking the shutter once to capture the moment. While we were in Marfa everything was closed on Sundays and Mondays. We arrived to Marathon to find that everything was closed on Tuesdays there, (except the Gage Hotel that has some of the best margaritas EVER! Get the prickly pear one. yum).
Enjoy our favorite images from Marathon and don’t forget to check out our other 10-on-1oer’s at the bottom of this post.
