Simplicity. While we love photographing weddings of all sizes, there is something we deeply connect with when weddings are intimate in nature. Whether this means the two of you eloping in the thick shaded woods of your favorite camping site, gathering 25 of your closest family & friends on the mountaintop you often hike together, or heading to city hall & then having an intimate dinner reception at your favorite restaurant, we are honored when asked to be the ones there to document your celebration. We offer single photographer collections for elopements and more intimate celebrations that start with a base 3 hour coverage. Additional hours and a second photographer can be added on if needed. FEATURED INTIMATE WEDDINGS
Reuben & Sabrina | Santa Barbara, CA
Reuben and Sabrina exchanged vows at a intimate ceremony on the Arroyo Hondo Preserve with 60 of their closest friends & family. Brian traveled to Santa Barbara to photograph their beach engagement the night prior & their incredible wedding day. Reuben rode his bike from the adobe house he was getting ready at to the ceremony. Sabrina was escorted in an old Jeep Wrangler. After their short but sweet ceremony, cocktail hour was held at a nearby picnic area before they headed down a path to an outdoor reception area for dinner. At the end of the night, a golden Piñata was brought out to add to the fun.
Brittany & Ryan | Lake Placid, NY
Brittany & Ryan chose to have a personalized ceremony on their favorite Mountain in the Adirondacks. Christina visited Lake Placid to capture them getting ready at the Crowne Plaza and then headed to the mountain to witness them marry at 5:30 pm on the peak of Whiteface Mountain. They were surrounded by 16 of their family and closest friends and even snuck up their dog to bear witness. With the mountain closing shortly after, they climbed down and drove back to Mirror Lake where they held an intimate dinner party at the Lake Placid Brewery.
Sara & Jason | Upstate, NY
Sara & Jason opted for an intimate wedding in Jason’s family’s home back in Upstate, NY. They invited 80 of their closest friends and family to witness and brought in personalized elements throughout the day. Sara’s friend created all of the beautiful floral arrangements. Jason’s brother married them. The food was catered by a friend of the family. The opted for local Paula’s Donuts as their cake. And at the end of the evening, after dancing most of night away, they realized a wish lantern into the sark sky. Backyard weddings are some of our favorites and it’s easy to see why.
Katie & Jacob | Whiteface Mountain, ADK
About two months prior to this elopement, we created a list of things we dreamed to photograph, (yes, we’re list makers & yes, we’re dreamers). Wedding on Top of a Mountain was on the very top of that list. A few weeks later, Kate & Jacob’s e-mail was sitting in our in-box. Katie & Jacob got ready at their family cabin near Saranac Lake. Christina helped button Katie’s dress before they had their first look. We all hopped in a car and headed to Whiteface Mountain together. Upon arrival, the gatekeepers warned us the forecast was zero visibility and we wouldn’t be able to see five feet in front of us. We all smiled at each other with joy and headed up the mountain. We knew it was one of those picturesque opportunities that only came upon us ever so often. An elopement on top of one of the tallest mountains in NY, surrounded by pure cloud.
