The last 4 weeks have been the fastest weeks of our lives. On April 7, 2017, we welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Vera to the world. When we finally got home from the hospital, we had been gone for almost a full week from our usual lives, (water broke on a Sunday and Vera made her entrance on Friday morning)! What we returned to felt anything but routine and we were fiercely reminded that time is our most valuable currency. The way we choose to spend it is even more important than ever.
Trying to squeeze in blogging as been a little bit of a balancing act, (shower or blog? shower or blog?) but today we finally got a few minutes! Brian is photographing a wedding and my oldest nephew came over to keep Vera and I company and help out around the house, giving me some time to post a new wedding that we’ve been excited to share for quite some while.
This past January Brian traveled to Washington DC to photograph Sean & Kristen’s intimate rooftop wedding. The weather for their day was 50 and rainy, (perfect for that grey sky we photographers love). Kristen & Sean held a morning brunch with some close friends in their apartment before moving up to the rooftop to say their vows. After the ceremony, Kristen and Sean headed out with Brian to some local spots for photos including a beautiful heart mural created by Mr. Brainwash that marks the one year anniversary of Let Girls Learn, (the Obama Administration’s initiative to help adolescent girls worldwide attend and complete school).
We have a few dates open for 2017 that are perfect for intimate weddings & elopements. We travel anywhere in the US and are always looking to explore new places. You can check our travel schedule here to see if we’ll be near you, or contact us to see if we’re available for your date and we can send you a quote for traveling to your destination wedding.
