Buffalo Engagement Photos | Mike & Abby | Buffalo, NY
Spring is here and our wedding season is approaching quickly. We’re beyond excited to start photographing a weddings again and this time with warmer weather! (The last wedding we photographed was in January….brrrrrr). Abby & Mike are not afraid of a little cold though, they are getting married in BUFFALO IN January of 2015, AND they are hoping for snow! (They call it being adventurous!).
We set out on what looked like it was going to be a warm Buffalo evening to photograph their engagement photos and right before we arrived, it started to rain. Luckily, it stopped right before but in true Abby & Mike fashion, the temperature dropped to a cool 45. Perfect temperature to practice portraits for the big day.
We photographed in a spot we’ve been meaning to shoot for a while, a desolate building behind my dad’s work. For year’s we’ve been eyeing it saying, we need to photograph someone there and we finally had a couple up for the opportunity (Hey, it’s sometimes hard to sell, “Rundown/abandoned but awesomely colored & texturize building for your intimate engagement session). But Mike & Abby gave us full trust & creative freedom to take them where we saw fit… Hey, we think canoodling between two trucks is romantic! Yes. We just said canoodling. With that, we’ll leave you our favorites from their Buffalo “Rustic” engagement session:
We are so so so so so so excited for this wedding next year! Beth & Jim are getting married on a farm out in Cuba, NY. We have a fighting love of both URBAN Buffalo & the farm life. Sometimes it’s hard for us to choose what we love more, so what’s better than incorporating both into your wedding? An urban engagement session in Buffalo & a farm wedding in Cuba, NY. We’re sold! To top it off, Beth & Jim have this contagious love and energy. Photographing them is like being on a new adventure were you’re seeing places and things you’ve never seen before (even though you’ve walked by them a million times). We can’t wait to photograph this wedding in June… #SomeDayOnaMountain
