Moorings Beach Family Session | Naples,FL
I recently had the pleasure of photographing a family who was visiting Naples, FL from Montreal. I love it when families reach out to book a session while they are on vacation in Naples, Florida because you get to pick the time and location without having to worry about a work schedule, school schedules, after-school activities, or any other obligations you might have at home. Because we had a very flexible schedule we decided to meet early in the morning to avoid the crowds and the heat of the beach. When we arrived beach was deserted, except for a few people taking their morning walk as the sun was just starting to come up. It was a fantastic morning and the perfect setting for family portraits.
The family had two small children and everyone was very relaxed and easy to work with. They were all very excited to be on vacation and they were having a great time together. I was able to capture some really candid and natural moments of them interacting with each other.
Photographing my favorite color film (currently Portra 400) at the beach when it’s overcast always gives me amazing results. So if you wake up early to catch that overcast, or happen to have a cloudy day, don’t fret! The images are remarkable with the sun being diffused by clouds.
Naples, Florida is a beautiful place to vacation with your family. The white-sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, and lush vegetation make for a perfect backdrop for family photos.
