Meseke Family | Rochester Film Family Photographer
It’s always an honor to photograph other photographers, especially when it’s photographers you admire. Especially when it’s photographers that you admire that are amazing people! Especially when it’s the Meseke Family. We met the Meseke family when Noah was just one year old and since then we’ve become friends and business pals, trying to connect as often as we can from Rochester to Buffalo. With the addition of more children (to both of our families), seeing each other has been a little more difficult the past few years, but it always feels so good to catch up with them in person.
This time we met up in the comfort of their home in Rochester, (or should I say the comfort of their outdoors surrounding their home), and I just love how the film turned out. The whole day we were fighting a possible rainstorm and the humidity was out of control. I’m so glad I threw a few extra rolls of Portra 400 and Trix 400 in my bag because those film stocks really shinned in this situation.
I do spend a lot of my winter in Naples, FL, (where I also photograph families), but there is something about returning to Western New York to photograph familiar faces.
